Korea will have greatest life expectancy by 2100: UN report
A new UN report says that Koreans are the people who will live the longest by the year 2100 .
The UN's 2012 World Population Prospects report shows that the life expectancy of Koreans is set to increase to 95.5 years between the years 2095 and 2100.
Koreans currently have a life expectancy of 81 years, according to the World Health Organization.
UN officials attribute the increase in longevity to a decreasing gap between rich and poor and to people leading a relatively healthier lifestyle.
The report also noted that the global population will increase to about 11-billion around the year 2100 due to population growth in Africa and other developing countries.
